Vacancy

As a Client Executive & Strategic Program Manager at Anderson MacGyver, you are at the forefront of shaping long-term partnerships and driving strategic transformation across industries. Your role combines business development, program leadership, and industry development. You serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, translating complex challenges into actionable strategies and guiding digital and IT programs that create real business impact.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key client relationships, initiate and lead large-scale transformation programs, and steer teams toward outcomes that matter. You bring a sharp strategic mindset and the ability to build momentum — whether you’re managing a steering committee, co-developing an industry playbook, or helping a client navigate uncertainty. You’ll also contribute to the growth of Anderson MacGyver by developing new business opportunities, tailoring proposals, and expanding presence in your focus industry. Through your strong network, industry insight, and collaborative approach, you’ll help shape the future direction of both client engagements and the firm itself.

You’ll be part of the Dutch Salesteam, together with eight other Client Executives who perform a leading sales role within Anderson MacGyver. Each Client Executive is responsible for their own designated industry. You meet with your team members every Friday morning during the Sales meeting, but otherwise work mostly independently.

If you thrive on building real connections in complex environments, love switching gears without losing focus, and can bring clarity under pressure, then this is a job for you.

Working week

Client Executive/Strategic Program Manager

On an enjoyable working day, you plan two new client meetings, close a deal over lunch and extend a key program. The work is demanding, but on days like this, deeply rewarding. You feel the momentum building, both for your clients and for the firm.

On a challenging working day, you are overwhelmed with emails, complaints and urgent calls. As the tension builds, you’ll find yourself having to mediate between parties and ensure continued cooperation.

Firsthand experience

You’re in late-stage discussions with a key infrastructure client who has verbally agreed to a multi-phase transformation program. How do you proceed?

This is where the real work begins. To secure the deal and ensure a smooth start, you take the lead in aligning all moving parts, both internally and client-side. You coordinate with internal delivery leads to validate capacity, assign the right experts, and confirm agreement on scope and phasing. Simultaneously, you collaborate with Finance to finalize project codes, set margin expectations, and lock in invoicing arrangements. On the client side, you ensure the client raises the PO on time, verifies budget approval cycles, and loops in procurement. You also set up governance structures, scheduling the first steering committee, agreeing on cadence and escalation paths, and ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined across teams. Finally, you review and finalize the Statement of Work, making sure it reflects the strategic nature of the engagement. This all happens within a matter of days, because maintaining momentum, clarity, and trust is key. The result? A signed contract, a strong kickoff, and the foundation for a long-term client relationship built on professionalism and precision.
